This is Patriotism.
Throughout the past eleven years, it has been an incredible journey to serve our Veterans and grow more passionate about this every day. Volunteering for Veterans has provided me a window into the hearts and souls of those who have an unconditional, sacrificial love for something deeper than themselves. This is patriotism. We must acknowledge the sacrifice that our Veterans have made for our nation, and to express our gratitude is to Pledge to Patriotism.
Despite our political differences, we can unite as Americans by recognizing that our Veterans have fought for each and every one of us. While countless have paid the ultimate sacrifice, there are many others who would be willing to do it all over again-for you, for me, and for future generations-because we are "We the People." Get involved.1) Respect the American flag, the living symbol of our freedom.
2) Volunteer at your local VA Facilities: Veterans Hospitals, Nursing Homes, and the National Cemeteries. 3) Make cards and deliver them to Veterans. Make care packages for servicemen. 4) Have a canned food drive for Veterans in need 5) Be an active citizen: Vote. Go to City Council meetings. Know what is going on in your community, state, nation, and world. 6) Say THANK YOU to our Veterans. |
