Spending a week at Milton and Rose Friedman's summer home in Vermont with twelve other students was an incredible experience. After reading Friedman's works, we discussed the principles of free-market capitalism and debated economic policy proposals. I learned so much about the intricacies of capitalism and freedom and am excited to be a greater defender of economic freedom.
Thank you Wes Kemp, Sam Staley, and Free To Choose Network for this remarkable colloquium opportunity.

"We are forever indebted to those who have given their lives that we may be free." -President Ronald Reagan Dear Veterans, Thank you. I am forever grateful for you. I promise to never forget the sacrifices you have made for the sake of our nation. For every birthday, Christmas, and moment you missed while you were serving our nation, we remember. Thank you for defining servant leadership and showing me what it means to be a patriot. Thank you for writing and living an invaluable story, the story of a hero who has epitomized patriotism. Thank you for teaching me lessons greater than anything I could ever read in a textbook. You have changed my life and shaped me into the person I am today. You have ignited my passions and stimulated my desire to serve. You are my greatest inspiration, and you are America's greatest heroes. Happy Veterans Day. Coordinating the Veterans Day Celebration at my school has been a special way to share patriotism with my peers and teachers while paying tribute to our servicemen and women. Here is a link to this year's ceremony, featuring Keynote Speaker Lt. Col. (Ret.) Steve Gray. He served in the Air Force for 24 years and is an amazing role model and friend. Youth engagement with Veterans is essential to ensure a lasting appreciation for the sacrifices these men and women have made for the freedom of our great nation, the United States of America, and I have learned this firsthand.
